Here are a few of the better books out there containing CD album reviews. Click on each link to view that book's web page on Amazon.com, where you can purchase the book. I can personally recommend the MusicHound Rock book. For each artist, it tells what album to buy first, what to buy next, and gives a nice summary of each artist's career. It also rates each album on a scale of zero to five, and doesn't pull punches.
