Build your own compilation albums, with no typing

Suppose you want to add a compilation album that you created yourself to your CD Trustee database.  You can of course do this by adding the album and tracks to your CD Trustee database manually.  You can also do this by selecting the songs from the albums already in your CD Trustee database, using the Play List feature in CD Trustee.  Here's how:

First, y
ou can easily find any song in your database by choosing "Find a song" from the Find menu in CD Trustee, or by simply pressing the F4 key on your keyboard.  You specify any part of the song title, and this immediately takes you to the album and track containing that song.  If more than one album contains that song, you are presented with a list of all albums containing that song and must choose one.

Once you are positioned to the track containing that song, click your right mouse button and choose "Add Song to Play List" from the pop-up menu that appears. This takes you to the Play List screen. Select an existing Play List or create a new one. This Play List selection is then remembered when you add additional songs, so you don't need to choose it each time. Press the "Add Song" button and then the "Close" button on the Play List screen.

Repeat this process for each song you want to add to this album. When finished, go to the Play List screen again ("PlayLists" is a menu item at the top of the main CD Trustee screen), and choose "Create new album from Play List" from the File menu. You then indicate the artist name who you want the album to be assigned to, and a new album will be created. The album title of this new album will be the same as the Play List name. You can then print a jewel case or CD label for this new album.  This new album will appear just like any other album in your lists and reports.
