Changing Artist Names |

When you change an artist name for an
album by clicking on the Artist tab when displaying Details, you are changing ONE artist record that is shared among all albums listed under that artist. There is no artist for each individual album. Each album shown under that artist is linked to that one artist record. This is how relational databases like CD Trustee work, to eliminate redundant data.
To move an album so that it appears under
a different artist, right-click on the album name in the main list, and choose "Move album to different artist" from the menu that appears. This is also an option on the Edit menu as long as you have an album highlighted. If you don't have an album chosen, that menu option will not be active. After you move it, you can delete any artist record that no longer contains any albums.
