Multiple databases |

|
You can create separate databases by saving your database under different file names, using the "Save Database As" command on the File menu in CD Trustee. You should do this before entering any albums, because this will save you the work of deleting a bunch of albums that are already in the database. You can then open each database by choosing the "Open" command from the File menu. CD Trustee will remember the location and name of the last database file you opened, and will open that same database file the next time you start the program. However, you might want to consider if keeping separate database files is necessary. You can keep all your music in one file yet display and print only a certain music Genre, Media Type, Location, or Rating. CD Trustee lets you limit the display by using the Filter feature. Just click the Filter menu and indicate the genre or sub-genre you want to display, or the Media Type; Location; or Rating, then you will only see those albums. Similarly you can print most any report and limit that report to only the albums in a certain genre or sub-genre. If you store album cover images, you should be aware that CD Trustee stores the album cover images in the Pictures sub-folder of the folder where the CDTrust.mdb file is located. This is typically the C:\Program Files\CDTrustee\Pictures folder. That folder must exist in order for CD Trustee to work. If you want to have totally separate Pictures folders, you can copy the CDTrust.mdb file to another folder, then create a Pictures sub-folder within that new folder.
